Lead Generation Tips – Using Multiple Channels

Leveraging all the possible avenues to generate leads to sell your product or service is essential. Today, you can no longer depend on a singular channel to convert your visitors to clients. There is so much information available today that your presence is paramount at each source of lead generation.

Make Use of Your Blog

According to research carried out by Inbound Marketing experts, Hubspot- companies that post blogs at least 6-8 times a month double their lead volume. Hence it’s a clear indicator that the frequent and high quality blogging is an excellent channel to generate leads for your website. A valuable tip here would be to make use of hyperlinks in the blog post to relevant landing pages on the website as well as distinct call to actions (CTA’s).

Social Media

The number of companies that are employing social media experts to build their business or to generate leads has grown manifold. The massive potential of social media has led experts to believe that you can actually generate business for your company via sites like Facebook. If you want to make your presence felt on such platforms then merely posting links of you company isn’t going to help. You have to engage in a dialogue with your fans, followers or influencers. The more you interact, the more influencers you will build. For instance if your company ABC Holdings has a fan page on Facebook then don’t restrict your content to only products for services of ABC Holdings. You can post about something that is interesting in general or link that some fans might be inclined to sharing on their accounts. To generate leads and ultimately boost your business, your aim on social media should be to build a loyal fan/follower base that will engage in dialogue with you and share your content voluntarily.

Email Marketing

Firstly, STOP buying lists and spamming people with emails. Nobody appreciates receiving emails from websites that they have not subscribed to or opted-in for. Make sure the emails that you sent are appreciated and do not force the user to hit the unsubscribe button. The best way to build lists for email marketing is offering the users case studies, white papers or demo software for which they will willingly share their contact details. The most effective way would be to offer educational material like PDF’ or presentations that people like to get without spending a dime. If they like the content, they will happily read all your emails and visit your website. If you offer value, nobody will turn you down.

Make sure to use all of the above mentioned channel to drive potential customers to your website but don’t neglect the potential traffic you can attain via organic search. If a customer is searching for a particular product on a search engine, being placed on the first page for that keyword will lend your website credibility and boost the chances of conversion.
